Day 12 - Dedication to You for all that I am

The void you left I fill with so many things,
Flowers, and hearts, and beautiful things,
But there's nothing in this world that fills that gap,
The only thing that would is if you walked right back,
Your family has got so much bigger now with so many additions a new,
Your nephews and nieces are now parents and I know you've met your grandaughter and grandsons too,
You'd be so proud of us all and the changes we've made,
I know someone as special as you could never have stayed,
This poem is dedicated to you for all I am and all I'll always strive to be,
Strong values you instilled in me and when I look in the mirror it's still your eyes that I see,
So here's a dedication to you and all that's good and true,
For there will never be another that could ever be like you.

Another year without you another poem about you

Often times a memory of you leaks out my eyes and rolls down my face,
Like little rivers of golden slivers of you in all your grace,
"How old would you have been today mum?"
"As old as you & then some!"

Miss you like a grape misses it's vine,
Like a sun misses it's shine,
Like the moon misses the night,
Like the stars without the bright,
As I hold on tight to my golden, remembrance chain. Leading back but also illuminating my way,
As sure as the dark of night becomes the light. We'll see each other again some day. Xxx
