Day 6: Prompt: A Secret

She has a secret....
....a secret she can't talk about,
Everytime she tries, those inner voices shout,
Words have power don't you know,
To ruin lives -though she'd said no,
She pretends it didn't happen and buries it deep,
She can face the world and not even weep,
Strong and hard her outer shell,
All for a secret she wouldn't, couldn't, tell,
Once the cat's out of the proverbial bag, she'll stop being angry and start to grow,
Stop running from the words she needs to express - even though she had said no,
She has a secret....
....a secret that has burnt her for too long,
Scared to explain for that'd make it real, labeled with a 'V' though she'd done no wrong,
She has a secret......
.....do you really want to know?
Remember that when it happened she had said no,
.....just no,
............No.
